Hybrid Beings

The Anthropomorphic Collection brings together artworks that Phaneendra Nath Chaturvedi created between 2000 and 2017. these works juxtapose the simple beauty of nature with the hypocrisy of human beings, who are depicted as grotesque and robotic figures.
Rooted in Indian art and cultural traditions, Chaturvedi’s works in hybrid Beings are a manifestation of our universal struggles and aspirations.
the artist says, ‘each piece in this series is a window into a moment, an emotion, a thought that once resided within me.’ through the brushstrokes and sculpted forms in these works, we get a glimpse of the creative evolution of Chaturvedi and are invited to join him on this journey of self-discovery.
